about me.png

When your child is struggling, having an ally can make all the difference.

Through years of experience working in outpatient pediatrics at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, teaching as a private homeschool instructor for first graders, and as an advocate and family member to an Autistic child, I have developed a deep care and understanding for individuals with communication and learning differences.

Finding the right care for your loved one can be immensely challenging, and that's why I'm dedicated to working with families to provide support that best meets their needs. I am passionate about empowering children with strategies and skills to communicate, to read, and to learn — with confidence, and as few limitations as possible.

I began high five language and learning with the hope that my clients will leave me feeling free to be themselves, and with a greater confidence in interacting with the world around them. As your provider, I will be an ally and a cheerleader for both you and your child through growth and learning experiences.

FAQs

Where are the sessions provided?

We offer direct services to clients in our office located in the heart of Decatur (right next to Decatur Square).   In-home, or in-school services can be provided for an additional fee, and are contingent upon our availability.  On location services are limited to Tucker, GA and surrounding areas (Lilburn, Clarkston, Decatur, North Druid Hills).

Why don't you accept insurance for speech therapy and for reading intervention?

Insurance companies place limitations on services, such as the amount and frequency of visits, in addition to reimbursing services at a flat rate, regardless of outcomes or the practitioner's qualifications and experience. Being a private pay provider allows us to specialize and to focus on quality of care, customizing the resources, the support that we provide, and the frequency of visits to specifically meet the needs of your child and family.

How frequent are sessions?  Are there options for intensive therapy?

Being a private pay provider allows us the flexibility to tailor the frequency of sessions to the needs of your child and family. We have intensive options (2+ sessions per week), weekly sessions (1 session per week), as well as therapy on a more consultative basis (sessions every other week or once monthly).

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in duration.

How much do sessions cost?

We provide specialized services, including the Orton Gillingham approach, Spelling to Communicate, and speech language therapy to support clients with a range of needs.  We customize sessions specifically for your child.  Session prices range from $90-$130 depending on the service provided, the location, and the duration of the session.
