Spelling to Communicate & AAC
 

Speech is a complex fine motor task. Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is a method that helps teach individuals with motor challenges purposeful motor skills to point to letters to spell words as an alternative means of communication.

We offer:

• Letterboard Coaching – individual sessions, led by a speech therapist, teaching motor skills and coordination to accurately point to letters to spell words 

• Communication Partner Coaching – coaching to help caregivers and other communication partners support their loved one's growth and progress on the letterboards

For:

• Nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals

• Ages 7 and up, and including young adults ages 18+

• Individuals with motor and sensory differences, including Autism, Apraxia, sensory integration disorders, and other developmental disabilities
